You can read, write and search your emails when you're offline by enabling the Gmail Offline feature. You can access Gmail from mail.google.com while offline.
You can only use Gmail Offline on Google Chrome browser! It cannot be used in incognito. If the Offline tab can't be found from the settings, you should contact your administrator as they may have disabled the Offline use for all users.
Enabling Gmail Offline
- Open Gmail's settings and go to the Offline tab
- Click Enable offline mail and choose how old emails are stored in your computer's disk. We recommend tapping on the "Remove offline data from my computer" after logging out of the Google account for security purposes
- Save changes
We recommend adding mail.google.com to your bookmarks for easy access to Gmail while offline. When sending emails offline, they will be sent as soon as the device gains internet access.
Disabling Gmail Offline
- On Chrome type chrome://settings/siteData to the search bar
- Click Remove all
- Go to Gmail's settings and click on the Offline tab
- Uncheck the Enable offline mail
- Save changes
